While hard work and good ideas are essential to success, your ability to express those ideas and get others to join you is just as important. Many brilliant ideas which could have been great successes died at the words of the person presenting them. We have all suffered boring speakers, e.g. teachers, who have no trouble putting us to sleep. When in the audience, we know how bad the presenter is, and just what they need to do to improve the presentation.
However, if we were to trade places, we won’t fare much better. If the thought of failing in a presentation makes you nervous, you are not alone. Many speakers lack the skills and confidence to make effective presentations.
